Haars Nursery is one of Australia’s largest wholesale production nurseries, supplying flowering plants, herbs and vegetables to major retailers nationwide. As our Despatch Manager, you will lead the end-to-end despatch function at our Lyndhurst site comprised a team of up to four Team Leaders and 20+ employees during peak periods. We need a leader who can develop our people and champion continuous improvement!
About the Role
You will:
- Lead and develop a high-performing despatch team.
- Oversee daily despatch operations to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.
- Manage labour planning, rostering and resource allocation.
- Drive safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs, manage performance and identify operational efficiencies.
- Work closely with Sales, Production and Transport teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
About You
You will bring:
- Experience leading teams in logistics, manufacturing, warehouse, production, ideally within a horticultural environment.
- Strong planning, organisational and people leadership skills.
- A focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience managing performance and operational KPIs.
- Horticultural knowledge and experience (desirable).
