Southern Plants (formally SAP) is a world-class state of the art wholesale production nursery and one of the largest in the state of Victoria.

They grow superior retail quality plants in high volumes – flowering shrubs, perennials, grasses, trees and succulents to name but a few – mostly in 140mm, 180mm and 200mm pots. They have a strong emphasis selecting the best performing genetics and specialise in functional plants; natives; and drought-tolerant, hardy plants.

Southern Plants’ history goes back over 75 years and three generations. The nursery is now situated on 92 acres (38 hectares) in Dromana but originally started as a division of Gardenworld in Keysborough.

Their plants are sold throughout Retail Nurseries in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and ACT and they also serve the landscape industry. Their extensive list, of over 120 varieties available at any one time, covers approximately 700 different products across the year. They specialise in contract growing large volumes to a hit a sales peak.
